JYUN is a classically trained cellist turned alt-pop artist who keeps things stripped back and intentional. A soft synth, a restrained vocal, or a simple cello line is often all he needs. Raised on Long Island, New York, he first gained attention playing pop music on the cello, blending classical technique with contemporary songs. That love for performing led to early national exposure at a young age. But away from the spotlight, he began focusing on writing, producing, and shaping a sound of his own. Now a student at Yale, JYUN’s music sits between classical training and bedroom pop—structure and instinct, precision and emotion. He writes and produces his own work, building songs that feel personal without being overstated. At its core, JYUN’s music isn’t about spectacle. It’s about growth, longing, and learning when to let go.
