Tikki Masala

Tikki Masala is widely known in the international Ecstatic Dance community as the founder of Ecstatic Dance Arambol, Goa (India), established in 2014 at The Source, one of the pioneering hubs of the movement in India. He is a multi-genre music producer, DJ, blending ancient sound traditions with modern electronic music. After traveling through India in 2005, Tikki Masala became deeply inspired by the rich textures and spiritual depth of Indian classical music. His productions weave traditional instruments together with electronic beats, synthesizers, drums, and layered percussion. Field recordings gathered across India , bhajans, kirtans, mantras, street musicians, jam sessions, concerts, nature recordings, and temple soundscapes, are fused with psychedelic, hypnotic electronics, driving rhythms, and deep basslines, creating immersive sonic journeys. Over time, his sound evolved into a fusion of World Beat, Tribal, Ethno, Downtempo, Folktronica, Native Beat, Bass, and Dance Music, influenced by cultures and musical traditions from around the world. Dance became a central element of his path after discovering Ecstatic Dance, where movement revealed itself as a powerful tool for personal, emotional, physical, and spiritual transformation. He has played and facilitated ecstatic dance events across India, Europe, Russia, Thailand, & Bali.
