Viktor Orri Árnason is an Icelandic composer, conductor and producer. His collision of classical composition and studio artistry, along with his unique approach to the viola and violin, has established him as an exceptional voice and a sought-after collaborator in today’s musical landscape.
Viktor released his collaborative debut with Yair Elazar Glotman, VAST (Bedroom Community) in 2019, following up with his debut solo album Elífur (PENTATONE) in 2021 and Poems (Deutsche Grammophon) with award winning soprano Álfheiður Erla Guðmundsdóttir. He is a member of the award-winning band Hjaltalín, and has played the strings and created arrangements for Jóhann Jóhannsson, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Ólafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm, Of Monsters and Men, Agent Fresco and Robot Koch among many others. His contributions can be heard in the soundtracks of countless movies and TV series, like the BAFTA award–winning Broadchurch (Music From The Original TV Series), Asia Pacific Screen Awards –winner Mary Magdalene (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) and multi-award winner Joker (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack).
