If you haven’t heard Rasheed Chappell declare “Project City!” on a track, in a video or on his latest Instagram post, chances are you aren’t aware of how hard this New Jersey native emcee represents where he’s from and stays true to his roots. Rasheed Chappell has always said regardless of the ebbs and flows of the music business, remaining authentic and crafting songs that are truly a reflection of who he is and his life experiences takes precedence over anything else. It is from this awareness, and commitment to self that Chappell has earned much respect amongst his peers, both as an emcee and a man. Chappell’s resume includes work with producers such as Apollo Brown, Diamond D, Da Beatminerz, 38 Spesh, Buckwild, Roc Marciano, rappers De La Soul, Pharoahe Monch, Action Bronson, Fashawn, Ransom, Benny The Butcher, Flee Lord, Opio, the late great Biz Markie and Che Noir to name a few. Recently he was also featured on Peter Rosenberg’s stellar compilation LP ‘Real Late’. Rasheed has been embraced and acclaimed by platforms such as HipHopDX, 2Dopeboyz, Hot 97, Complex, Earmilk, and many more.
