Biography & Metadata

Steven Faulkner is an independent singer-songwriter from Hinckley, Leicestershire, UK, writing honest, emotionally driven songs about the things that shape us – relationships, resilience, mental health, humanity and the world around us. Drawing from a broad musical palette, Steven lets each song find its own sound rather than chasing a single genre. The result is a catalogue that moves naturally between alternative rock, acoustic songwriting and indie, with echoes of artists such as Chris Cornell, Frank Turner, Gomez, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day and Beck. Following a Four-year break from releasing music, 2026 marks a new chapter. His latest single, Keep On, arrived on 25th September as the Third of seven new releases, his most ambitious project to date. Away from the studio, Steven has built a reputation as an accomplished live performer, appearing at Y Not Festival and sharing stages with Ben Ottewell (Gomez), Jamie Lenman, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Mark Morriss (The Bluetones) and Miles Hunt (The Wonder Stuff). Whether intimate and reflective or loud and cathartic, Steven’s songs are united by one thing: they have something genuine to say.
