City of Dawn is an ambient project led by Damien Duque from McAllen, TX, specializing in crafting immersive and atmospheric melodic dreamscapes. In addition to conveying a thought-provoking message about the impact of Ambient Music, Damien uses his art to advocate for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Through his music, Damien finds solace in coping with occasional anxiety attacks, depression, and insomnia, while also sharing his journey as an individual with Asperger's Syndrome (High Functioning Autism). Each album from City Of Dawn by Damien Duque provides a gateway to a reflective space that encourages self-exploration. By navigating this musical journey, listeners can find a path to quiet their cluttered minds, transcend the surrounding noise, and discover a sense of awareness, stillness, and tranquility. Damien's mission is rooted in raising awareness and fostering acceptance of autism, with a focus on highlighting the unique capabilities of individuals within the Autism Spectrum. He believes that autism does not define a person; rather, each individual shapes their own definition of autism and themselves. By sharing his music, Damien proves that autism is not a barrier to success but a distinctive ability. He takes joy in uniting people through meditation & contemplation with shared musical experiences inspired by life, philosophical thought, nature, & Human Condition.
