Biography & Metadata

NBC9 is a Canadian drum and bass producer and founder of Embassy 9 Recordings. After returning to music in 2024 following a 19 year hiatus, he quickly established himself with a series of releases blending cinematic atmospheres, powerful low end, and progressive neurofunk influences. While continuing to release his own music, NBC9 has increasingly focused on developing and promoting emerging artists through Embassy 9 Recordings. The label has become a platform for both established and up and coming talent from around the world, helping bring fresh voices to the global drum and bass scene. His 2025 album State of Control explored themes of surveillance, manipulation, and societal control through a dark, futuristic lens. Fans can expect the story to continue with The Resistance Protocol, a new album scheduled for release in September '26. Building on the events of State of Control, the project explores a world living in the aftermath of systemic collapse, where survival, resistance, and rebuilding become the central themes. Whether growing the label behind the scenes or crafting his next production in the studio, NBC9 remains committed to pushing forward thinking drum and bass while supporting the next generation of producers.
