John Henderson

Ben McCoy at Unxigned.com described the recent EP by John Henderson and Lemonhead as "An acoustic EP that stirs the soul, wrapping listeners in the warmth of folk simplicity and the rawness of lyrical honesty." John Henderson, based in Davis California, writes and records indie folk, singer-songwriter, and indie rock songs in collaboration with artists from around the world. He regularly works with Minneapolis songwriter and vocalist Lemonhead (John Henderson and Lemonhead), with a debut album and follow-up EP released in 2024, and a second album (Lemons and Aces) released in late 2025. He also records his own work as John Henderson and Aces 38, weaving traditional and folk melodies together with modern guitar riffs and personal storytelling to create a sonic tapestry that is both traditional and contemporary. This John Henderson is not that other John Henderson.
