Biography & Metadata

Goulla is a self produced artist from Northern Virginia. Most known for his production for various east coast artists, Goulla also notably spent the late 2010’s - early 2020’s in Texas; Where he was credited with production for acts like Paul Wall, Big X The Plug, Slim Thug, King Kyle Lee, OC Chris, Southside Vic, Hoodlum, and many more. His production credits don’t stop there; other notable credits outside of the Lone Star State, include artists like Guapdad4000 out of Oakland and Blckfriend out of NYC. If you’re just getting into the hidden gem, his self produced EP, Ju$t To Remind You along with his debut album The Beat You Never Heard of are great places to start. While the latter is a great mix of modern hiphop production over classic soul samples and unique sampling techniques, JTR doesn’t disappoint in showcasing Goulla’s vibrant charisma and delivery. It quickly becomes apparent Goulla takes great pride in both his versatility and his passionate expression of his wide ranging inspiration he takes from various genres. - This is captured with singles like Rat Race, See You In My Dreams, and Infection, which go from deep-cut reggae samples, to retro synth-pop, to alt-rock. Since 2024 Goulla has kept us on our toes with each release; not knowing what version of him we as the listeners are going to get.
