Julie Hanney

My music is inspired by so much - from the healing power of nature to the grand experience of living, loving and learning. I hope that my songs bring peace, calm, inspiration and joy. Music has been a balm in my life and I am honored to share the music in my heart with others all over the world. I write in a modern classical, or neoclassical style, which is a blending of the old with new harmonies, emotions and styles. I also release music under my moniker, "Juliette Owen" which is my endeavor into the world of soothing felt piano and creative pursuits with a cinematic and chill voice.  A bit about my background: I learned to play piano from my grandmother when I was very young and started writing my own music soon after. In high school I began studying piano and music theory intensively, and I graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Music, focusing on piano and composition. My works for choir, string quartet and piano have been published by various companies over the years and in 2019, I released my first full-length solo piano album, titled Painting in Sound. Since then I have had the pleasure of releasing several albums and many singles of my original, modern classical music.
