Indricity

Indricity is a one man alternative rock project from Perth, built on heavy guitars, melodic hooks and lyrics drawn from ordinary life under pressure. The songs sit in the space between alternative rock, post grunge and hard rock, finding their subject matter in work, routine, suburbia, relationships and the strange feeling of moving constantly without getting much further. There is humour in that world, but it arrives dry and sideways; the music carries the weight. Influenced by the tension and melody of late '90s and early2000s guitar music, Indricity uses that vocabulary to write about the present. Recent releases The Commute, Suburban Chaos and The Next Sunny Town define the direction: grounded, hook driven and heavier than ordinary life first appears.
