L.A. DYSTO

L.A. DYSTO is the new side hustle from Warriors of the Dystotheque’s (WotD)  Jonny Mac, who along with his good friend Steven Reid are the face of L.A. DYSTO on the DJ side of things. For production, they’ve teamed up with Shay Whelan from Celtronic Studios in Derry on engineering duties, But as we all know, every band needs a frontman, that role is filled by Theo Suess. The loose plan is to encompass the slower, sleazier, low-strung electronic sounds of Dark Disco, Indie Dance, Weird and Wonky Electronica, with a splash of Acid where the BPMs can start anywhere from 85 to a maximum of 124.  The last decade saw Jonny carve out a name for himself with WotD, gaining major support across the UK airwaves,BBC 6 Music, BBC R1, and Jazz FM, followed by a guest mix on 6 Music. 
Those connections to years of DJ sets across Ibiza at the likes of Pikes, Cafe Del Mar, and live broadcast performances on Ibiza Sonica from Kumharas, this paved the way to a monthly L.A. DYSTO show which can now be heard monthly as they play their weird and wonky electronica on the 1st Monday of each month on Ibiza Sonica Radio.  Heading into spring ’26, Then the original EPs start to roll out on Nein, Sprechen & Paisley Dark and Expect to hear L.A. DYSTO this summer DJ’n across Ibiza, the UK, and Ireland with their Frequency party, held bimonthly at in Derry.
