Matilda Shakes are an anthemic indie rock band from Sheffield, combining punchy guitars, raucous riffs, pounding drums and huge singalong choruses built to get crowds moving. The band have built a growing reputation as a formidable live act, playing sold-out hometown shows and stages including Sheffield’s historic Leadmill, O2 Academy venues, Tramlines Festival and the Silverstone Formula 1 weekend. In 2026, Matilda Shakes returned to Tramlines for a packed-out set on the Leadmill Stage, continuing a year of major live milestones. Their music has received support from BBC Introducing and has appeared across a range of major Spotify playlists, including Fresh Finds UK & IE, Premier League, EFL Matchday, F1 Tracks, The Sound of Silverstone and official Liverpool FC and Manchester City playlists. Latest single “Transmission” marks the beginning of a new era for the band and the first release from forthcoming EP “The Limit”, with more new music to follow.
