Biography & Metadata
On Le Ore makes mid-fi indie rock—too considered to be lo-fi, too damaged to be polished. Built between NYC and Nashville, the band runs on grimy guitars, crooked hooks, blown-out melodies and recordings that leave the seams showing. Songwriter, guitarist and vocalist J Moore is joined by Travis Harrison, longtime Guided by Voices producer/engineer, who is a full part of On Le Ore—playing drums while also mixing and mastering the records. The DNA reaches back to GBV, Sebadoh, Pavement and Sugar, but the sound sits comfortably alongside the scruffier edges of , Archers of Loaf and Weird Nightmare—guitar music where distortion, melody and imperfection all belong in the same room.
