Filipino male group BGYO has captivated music fans with their stellar vocals, sharp moves, and charismatic performances, making them one of the Asian acts to watch out for. The group’s name stands for “Becoming the change, Going further, You and I, Originally Filipino.” Consisting of members Gelo Rivera, Akira Morishita, JL Toreliza, Mikki Claver, and Nate Porcalla, BGYO was formed in 2018 by ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy and was trained for two years under Filipino and South Korean mentors. BGYO’s immense talent led them to receive recognition from the Recording Academy as they featured the group in their list of “Asian Pop artists to check out.” They also won the Best Theme Song at the 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards with the song “He’s Into Her.” They bagged the People's Voice Favorite Group Artist in Awit Awards for two consecutive years (2021, 2022).
