After surviving a brutal stabbing to the face, Cottonmouth Scotty’s villain arc was born—earning him the nickname “The Blue Eyed Devil” (T.B.E.D.). What could’ve ended everything instead became the moment that changed everything. Born in Camden, New Jersey, and raised in Olathe, Kansas, Antuane D. Scott Smith, known as Cottonmouth Scotty, has been building his sound long before the world started paying attention. His journey officially began in 2017 with the release of his debut project Cartel, a turning point that led to connecting with his first manager, Winford Anderson, who helped shape his transition from raw talent into a serious artist. Over the next few years, Scotty steadily built momentum, gaining traction across social media and SoundCloud with his distinct style and presence. In 2019, his grind earned recognition from none other than Snoop Dogg at the AT&T Revolt Summit—an early stamp that confirmed he was on the right path. Music has always been in his blood. Inspired by his mother’s voice, Scotty started singing in church before evolving into his own lane—a blend of melody and raw expression that defines his sound today. He began making music in the 8th grade and later formed the rap group “Mid West Posse” in high school, while also producing his own beats. Now, after years of growth, setbacks, and transformation, Cottonmouth Scotty isn’t just making music—he’s stepping into a new era. And this time, it’s different.
