Jay Fonseca

Jay Fonseca is an artist, songwriter, and producer hailing from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, with Surinamese roots. He is a talented and hardworking musician who gained significant momentum after switching from singing in Dutch to English in 2017. This pivot led to the release of his first big international single, "Moonlight," in collaboration with fitness guru and producer Tavi Castro. The track garnered over 2 million streams and dominated the iTunes Top 100 Chart, holding the #1 spot for 14 consecutive weeks. It also ranked #3 on Beograd's Radio Top 100 List for 29 weeks. 
 In 2018, Jay Fonseca kicked off the year with the release of "Sin Compromiso" and followed it up with seven Spanish and five bilingual singles. Many of these releases earned over 1 million streams and helped to establish Jay as an artist to watch. 
 After taking time to rebuild himself, Jay returned to the music scene with a fresh Afrobeat sound, releasing his first single, "Coco," on his independent music label, "Arcane Music." Despite the challenges of being an independent artist in the music industry, Jay finds fulfillment in working for himself, as he believes that there is no greater reward than creating music on his own terms.
