Samy Guediche, also known as Cpu, is a Swiss-born mastering engineer and psychedelic psytrance artist known for his innovative productions and global performances. He began his musical journey in the 1980s, discovered trance in California in the late 1990s, and founded his project Central Processing Unit in 2002, becoming one of the most influential producers of the 2000s psytrance generation, with over 100 tracks released on more than 25 labels and performing in over 500 shows worldwide. Samy's background is as a guitarist and composer, honed by jazz studies and electronic music production. His immersion in psychedelic trance music began in 1999, fueled by the Burning Man festival and the San Francisco collective CCC. He debuted on the French label 3D Vision and has since released numerous tracks on various labels, toured extensively, and released influential albums, including his debut, "Central Processing Unit", which transformed the sound of psytrance and influenced many of today's leading artists, such as Bliss; and his fourth album, "Eat It," released on his own label, Nutek Records, which was highly influential in pioneering the electro-trance style in Brazil, blending diverse electronic and rock influences. After many years of touring the world, Samy moved to Tokyo and opened a DJ and music production school (IDPS) in collaboration with DJ Tsuyoshi, becoming the largest DJ school in Japan.
