Biography & Metadata

Brooklyn-born and Haiti-raised, Grammy-winning songwriter and artist Stacy Barthe has spent nearly two decades helping shape the sound and stories of some of music’s biggest voices. Her pen can be heard across records by Beyoncé (“Bigger,” “Brown Skin Girl”), Rihanna (“Cheers”), Miley Cyrus (“Adore You”), Katy Perry (“Hummingbird Heartbeat”), Britney Spears (“Blur”), Alicia Keys, Nipsey Hussle, Brandy, Teyana Taylor and more. But behind the songs she gave to the world, Stacy was quietly writing her own story. As an artist, she introduced audiences to her deeply personal storytelling through projects including Sincerely Yours, Stacy Barthe, P.S. I Love You and her acclaimed 2015 Motown debut album, BEcoming—a raw exploration of identity, healing, self-worth and transformation. Now, after years of writing, living, healing and evolving, Stacy is stepping out of the corner. On 11/11, she returns with “Vibing in the Corner,” a declaration from an artist who spent years comfortable behind the scenes and is finally ready to be fully seen. The release opens a new chapter leading into her forthcoming Love Life EP and album in 2027—a body of work rooted in rebirth, freedom, spirituality, Caribbean warmth and the courage to love life again. Stacy Barthe isn’t starting over. She’s returning to herself.
