Nashville Exile

Nashville Exile is a group of friends and family with a passion for quintessential classic American songwriters. Jimmy Webb, Warren Zevon, John Prine and Jackson Browne are just some of their inspirations. Expect Americana with a British twist: big, widescreen guitars and rich vocal harmonies, where the song matters most. Fans of The War on Drugs and Jason Isbell will find plenty to love. Singer and multi-instrumentalist Matthew Crozer, his cousin and vocalist Cat Smithurst, her husband Mark Smithurst on bass, Amu Dennett on guitar and vocals, and Rick Kent on drums have played music together for years but never released anything, until now. Their debut album, "Hand Drawn," is out 16 October 2026. It features Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters) and Robbie Bennett (The War on Drugs) as guest keyboard players, String arrangements by Thomas Hewitt-Jones, it was mixed by Seth Von Paulus, and was mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Richard Dodd, best known for Tom Petty's "Wildflowers."
