Major X

Major X makes music from the diaspora for the world. Born in Lisbon to Angolan and São Toméan roots, raised between Switzerland and Mozambique, his identity lives between cultures — and so does his sound. Rooted in Hip-Hop and shaped by PALOP culture, Major X blends Afro vibes, conscious rap, Dancehall Trap and modern urban sounds into his own lane. Rapping primarily in Portuguese with touches of English, he moves naturally between sharp lyricism, storytelling and hard-hitting flows, letting each beat set the direction. His connection to music started long before the microphone — from playing drums and dancing salsa, bachata and merengue to making his mark as a Hip-Hop freestyle dancer. That journey eventually took him behind the scenes, organizing events, working with artists, building his own studio and co-founding the Digital Art Society. A defining milestone came with “ICE”, his collaboration with PALOP rap heavyweight Monsta — bringing together his roots and the artist he has become. Major X doesn’t represent just one country or one sound. Lisbon, Angola, São Tomé, Mozambique and Switzerland all live in his story. Different cultures. Different influences. One identity.
