KIN Born in Greece and having lived in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Berlin, in 2012, KIN (Chris) created the persona of ‘Chris andthepeople’ to express thoughts about ‘contemporary living’ and showcase his artistic expression through exhibitions in Greece and abroad. For over 10 years, ‘Chris andthepeople’ analyzed the idealism of solipsistic and social life, exploring the boundaries of pop culture. Through various media and art spaces, the art of ‘Chris andthepeople’ delves into topics of ‘solus ipse’—living, exploring the dichotomy of existence and coexisting with pop living. In 2023, Chris adopted the name KIN (which means ‘gold’ in Japanese) to embark on a new career in music, debuting with his first single ‘mazi tis.’ His music genre encompasses pop, trap, and dancehall, creating controversial vibes and embracing contradictions while dealing with self-destruction, struggle, and happiness.”
