HALFBY

Kyoto-based DJ and producer HALFBY has released seven albums across both major and independent labels, collaborating with a diverse range of artists from Japan and abroad, including Ginger Root, Mei Ehara, Jun Saito (YOUR SONG IS GOOD), VIDEOTAPEMUSIC, Ohshu, and Alfred Beach Sandal. His latest album, The Sound Of Memory Lane, features guests such as Keigo Oyamada (Cornelius)—one of HALFBY’s longtime heroes—and Dante Elephante. Building on the Balearic sensibilities explored in his acclaimed Hawaii trilogy, the album incorporates a distinctly '90s flavor to further refine his signature blend of club culture and indie dance music. 京都在住のDJ/トラックメイカー。これまでに、Ginger Root、Mei ehara、Jun Saito(YSIG)、VIDEOTAPEMUSIC、王舟、Alfred Beach Sandalなど、国内外のゲストを迎え、メジャー／インディー合わせた7枚のアルバムをリリース。最新作『The Sound Of Memory Lane』では、マイヒーロー小山田圭吾(Cornelius)、Dante Elephanteなどをfeat.し、ハワイ三部作以降のバレアリック解釈に、90年代のエッセンスを加えた、クラブ経由のインディー・ダンスを確立。また最近では、舞台サマータイムマシン・ブルースの劇伴、Eテレ「いないいないばあっ！」や、農林水産省「NIPPON FOOD SHIFT」への楽曲提供など、活動は多岐に渡る。
