Toronto’s Barry Harris was the first club DJ in the world to write, produce and perform a Top 40 hit; “I Beg Your Pardon” by his debut project Kon Kan. “I Beg Your Pardon”, became an international Top 5 hit around the world, (#15 Billboard Hot 100, #5 U.K. - Top 10 for 5 weeks) & garnering a Juno Award (Canadian Grammy) for Best Dance Recording in 1990. 1998 Barry relocated to Los Angeles and teamed up with dj/producer Chris Cox. Together as Thunderpuss they produced more than 40 #1 Billboard Dance remixes including hits for major label recording artists Madonna, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion & Donna Summer and more. Barry is also well known for co-producting Whitney Houston’s Top 5 global dance hit version of “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” which remains in steady rotation around the world today. 2025 Barry Harris reinvents himself yet again as Barry Harris' Kon Kan with a new LP released June 30,2026!
