Raaj Babu is an Indian rapper, singer and songwriter pushing the boundaries of contemporary hip-hop through the language, culture and sounds of Bhojpuri. Born out of the independent hip-hop movement, his music blends raw lyricism, melodic songwriting and gritty production with the cultural identity of Eastern India. Moving seamlessly between Hindi and Bhojpuri, Raaj Babu turns personal experiences, ambition, conflict and everyday realities into music that feels both deeply local and universally human. Based in Jamshedpur, he has been a driving force behind the city’s hip-hop culture and the co founder of Jamshedpur Hip-Hop TV, creating a platform for artists from the region and helping connect India's emerging hip-hop communities. With a sound that refuses to fit neatly into one box, Raaj Babu represents a new generation of Indian artists taking regional language and culture beyond borders. His music is rooted in where he comes from—but built for wherever it can reach.
