Biography & Metadata

Dub Sutra is the husband-and-wife musical collaboration of Chris and Charlotte Proud, creating immersive downtempo soundscapes that blend live world instruments, electronic production, harmonious vocals, and the healing power of sound. Their music has become a favorite for yoga, meditation, movement, and conscious gatherings worldwide. Drawing from more than two decades of research and performance, Dub Sutra combines modern production with ancient sonic traditions to create music that inspires presence, relaxation, and transformation. Their work has been featured by LA Yoga and Spirituality & Health magazines, reached #1 on Yogitunes, and accumulated millions of streams across Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and other platforms. Since 2009, Dub Sutra has performed at Envision Festival Costa Rica, Hawaii Yoga Fest, Lucidity, Sedona Yoga Festival, Rise Big Sur, Yoga Rocks the Park, Wanderlust, and more. They have shared the stage with Shpongle, CloZee, Yaima, Rising Appalachia, and Snatam Kaur, and have collaborated with David Satori (of Beats Antique and Dirtwire), Kalya Scintilla, John Mark Aladeen, Priya Deepika, Tiger Moon, and Dr. Maya Angelou, whose voice and poetry are featured on their song Maya's Dance. Whether performing live or creating music for yoga, meditation, festivals, or immersive listening experiences, Dub Sutra invites audiences into a space of stillness, connection, and deep presence.
