MP Grey writes the kind of songs that sit just left of the mainstream : thoughtful, melodic, and quietly powerful. Based in Germany, he’s a songwriter and producer whose story begins in the shadow of a divided Berlin. Classically trained in piano as a kid, he later found his way into rock bands, where he began writing songs of his own. A detour into economics followed, but the music never stopped. Blending indie pop, alt rock, AC pop, synth-laced textures and hints of folk, his music explores everyday themes with an open heart, often carrying a hopeful mindset, a touch of melancholy, and a sincere belief in human connection. His ongoing collaboration with LA-based vocalist Rudiger brings these songs to life with a voice as distinct as the stories it tells. In 2020, MP Grey released « Merged Time », a debut album collecting songs written across three decades. Since then, he's continued releasing a steady run of singles, earning recognition from global music blogs, airplay on independent radio, and a steadily growing audience around the world. Music may not be his full-time job, but it’s a full-time passion. From writing to production to playing keys, every track comes together in his own studio, built with care and a love for the process.
