Danish-born, Los Angeles-based artist Galimatias uses sound to design a space or create a moment. Galimatias' soulful production and memorable melodies captivated a massive audience in 2015 with his debut EP Urban Flora in collaboration with singer Alina Baraz, a seamless exploration of a smoldering relationship between electronic music and R&B with over half a billion streams to date. Breaking from the status quo in 2020, Galimatias' debut LP, Renaissance Boy, was a beautifully crafted concept album. The seamless transitions blur the lines between tracks, creating a cinematic ambiance that sets the stage for your imagination to take off. Renaissance Boy explores new territory in terms of sound but also displays his vocal journey, and is designed to be listened to in a single sitting from start to finish. Released in November 2025, 20 Second Century is his latest LP, comprised of 13 tracks and also intended to be listened to in a seamless play. The project draws on Galimatias’s trademark blend of shimmering electronic textures, intimate vocal moments, and crisp production. 20 Second Century is Galimatias’ meditation on staying grounded in a world that never stops accelerating. The album pushes back against the hyper-fragmented, overstimulated digital era by inviting listeners to slow down and sink into an unbroken sonic journey.
