Biography & Metadata
Chipi Chacón is a Venezuelan trumpeter, singer and producer, currently considered one of the young Latin American musicians with the greatest international projection, recognized by the greatest masters in the world of music for his great versatility, handling himself perfectly in different musical styles such as Classical, Jazz and Latin music. Chipi trained as a trumpeter in Venezuela, within the ranks of the musical education project “El Sistema” created by maestro José Antonio Abreu, and for 15 years he belonged to the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of maestro Gustavo Dudamel, performing in more than 50 countries, in the most important theaters and festivals in the world. He has collaborated with masters such as: Claudio Abbado, Simon Rattle, John Williams, Kzysztof Penderecki, Martha Argerich, Bob Mintzer, Arturo Sandoval, James Morrinson, Paquito D’Rivera, Jimmy Haslip, Perico Sambeat, Luis Perdomo, Alain Pérez, Cheo Feliciano, Oscar D’Leon, Lalo Rodriguez, Gilberto Santa Rosa, among others. For a decade, Chipi Chacón has been an Artist of “SCHAGERL”, a famous Austrian brand of handmade instruments that sponsors the most relevant instrumentalists in the world. Chipi has won multiple awards in his country for his record productions and also has a nomination for the Latin Grammy as “Best New Artist” for his album “Transparente”.
