Lost In Psalms

Lost In Psalms is a progressive rock-metal project formed by multi-instrumentalist Gerardo Ruiz and drummer Jorge Sobrado. The band is built around the paradoxes of human existence. Blending atmospheric soundscapes, intricate compositions, emotional melodies, and powerful guitar-driven passages, they explore the fragile boundaries between belief and doubt, permanence and change, consciousness and uncertainty. There's a central contradiction in Lost In Psalms: the possibility of becoming lost within the very things we turn to for meaning. With End of a Kalpa, Ruiz and Sobrado venture into themes of transformation, impermanence, and the cyclical nature of existence, shaping a musical universe where introspection meets intensity. It's first EP features an outstanding group of Costa Rican musicians with extensive experience, including producer, sound engineer, and multi-instrumentalist Juan Pablo Calvo; renowned and talented progressive metal vocalist Priscilla Ruiz; and electric guitar virtuoso Ari Lotringer, whose contributions greatly enrich the project’s musical identity.
