Some artists have hits. Others build a legacy. Diamond Rio has done both. Defined by their renowned musicianship, unmistakable harmonies, and a timeless catalog of songs spanning more than three decades, the band’s music and influence have become part of the fabric of country music. Diamond Rio made history in 1991 when their first single, “Meet in the Middle,” became the first debut single by a country music group to reach No. 1. This year, the landmark song and album celebrate their 35th anniversary. “One More Day” became one of Diamond Rio’s most enduring and impactful hits. The RIAA-certified single reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for 2 non-consecutive weeks and climbed to No. 6 on the Hot AC chart, making it a rare crossover hit for its time. Over the years, the band has charted 7 No. 1 singles, 15 Top 5 singles, and 20 Top 10 singles. They’ve earned six Vocal Group of the Year Awards – 4 from the CMA and 2 from the ACM – and received 14 Grammy nominations, including their Grammy win for The Reason. The band is also a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry. Today, Diamond Rio continues to honor their legacy while embracing a new chapter. This fall, the band will release America Works – an EP featuring brand new original tracks. The project will introduce fiddle player, Carson McKee, vocally, while carrying forward the legacy and musicianship that have defined Diamond Rio.
