Biography & Metadata
Jessi Alexander is a chart-topping, award-winning singer-songwriter whose honest, vulnerable storytelling is rooted in her humble Tennessee upbringing. An 11-time #1 songwriter, she has penned some of country music’s most resonant hits, including Morgan Wallen’s “Don’t Think Jesus,” Megan Moroney’s “Beautiful Things” and “No Caller ID,” Luke Combs’s “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” Dustin Lynch feat. Jelly Roll’s “Chevrolet,” Blake Shelton’s “Mine Would Be You,” Lee Brice’s “I Drive Your Truck,” and Scotty McCreery’s “In Between.” Beyond country, Alexander co-wrote Miley Cyrus’s global anthem “The Climb,” earning an MTV Movie Award for Best Song from a Movie. As an artist, Alexander has released the acclaimed albums Honeysuckle Sweet, Down Home, and Decatur County Red, further showcasing the deeply personal songwriting and distinctly Southern voice at the heart of her work. Her next album is set for release November 6, 2026. Alexander was named MusicRow’s Female Songwriter of the Year in 2023 and 2024 and honored as the 2024 NMPA Gold & Platinum Gala Top Female Songwriter. At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, she earned nominations for Songwriter of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” followed by a 2025 ACM nomination for Songwriter of the Year. Currently, she has three singles climbing the charts: Kenny Chesney’s “Carry On,” Riley Green’s “Think As You Drank,” and Megan Moroney’s “Medicine.”
