Julian Rybarski

Julian Rybarski combines adult contemporary with rock, indie pop, blues, Americana, and soul, blending musical tradition with a modern zeitgeist. His compositions are characterized by arrangements with piano passages, brass sections, and guitar solos, creating an intense listening and live experience. He deliberately presents the content of his music outside of conventional gender stereotypes and role understandings. His approach to rock music, beyond toxic masculinity, resists stereotypical representations of strength and toughness and instead offers space for vulnerability, reflection, and empathy: rock music for people who cannot identify with the traditional topoi of this style, but who love the sound of this music and have been socialized with it. His music addresses significant social and personal themes such as depression, loss, and new beginnings, always with the goal of conveying a sense of hope and belonging. In his lyrics, Julian openly recounts his own struggles with depression and the search for emotional stability.
