Raised on a steady diet of The Manuscript, Get Rich Or Die Tryin' and YBA 2 NW, equipped with a natural knack of a lustrous flow and thought provoking rhymes almost impossible to sound as nice. The Soweto Gauteng artist MoPhunk has established himself as one of the most essential rappers, producers, Hip-Hop artist and un-boxed artist as he contains a raw nineties style that he blends with melodies, singing and poetry more so creating a breath of fresh air and new genre and style which cannot be boxed in. The founder of Soweto based Obfuscate Gratuitous Killer Kat Klan. Since he started releasing music in 2013, he has released over eight projects including albums, mixtapes and EP's which has included mostly Soweto based artists and a few in Johannesburg. In his career MoPhunk has been solo driven at most, but also collaborative too. Where he uses his solo projects to find himself and collaborates to expand his knowledge and insight, and uses that for his identity. He has polished and honed his observational + informative skills and sometimes too deep manner with a dapper panache and a burnished flow is how he delivers his craft. All of this happens while he maintains a DIY climate as 95% of his recordings/work is done at home. His lyrical shamanism and production wave gained praises from Texx And The City, The Hype Magazine and more.. MoPhunk has been rapping for well over a decade and producing music for over seven years and his work proves it - and his prime has just begun!
