Blenko

Blenko is the project of Rebecca Simmonds, who first picked up bass fronting Anna’s Bones and quickly made it her main songwriting tool. Her songs are built around simple bass line hooks and raw, emotionally driven lyrics, brought to life in the studio with producer Michael Hemmings. Last year, Blenko was named one of BBC Introducing’s Ones to Watch for 2025. Her first single, Through Your Teeth, caught the attention of BBC Introducing Essex, with DJ Jake Peach saying, “Wet Leg fans will love this!” The track was later featured on BBC Introducing’s national show. Her song Black Horse was A-listed on Amazing Radio. Blenko released her debut EP, Rebecca, in 2024, with a follow-up planned for later this year.
