Ramón "El Mago" Benítez es el líder de la banda El Mago y La Nueva. Uno de los principales artistas y referentes de la música tropical argentina. También fue uno de los fundadores junto a Marcelo Chino González de "La Nueva Luna", quienes la formaron luego de abandonar su antiguo grupo conocido como "Siete Lunas". Durante su extensa carrera han realizado numerosos conciertos en el país, algunos de ellos fueron realizados en el Estadio Obras, el Estadio Luna Park y el Estadio Arquitecto Ricardo Etcheverri. Además de realizar giras internacionales en Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay y Uruguay.
