Leonardo Garcia y Son Horizonte is an ensemble formed in 2012, dedicated to exploring a wide variety of original compositions and arrangements in Salsa and Salsa Jazz. Their music spans from classic salsa dura and Son Montuno to Salsa Urbana, infused with the band's original salsa creations. Leonardo's Colombian roots and his upbringing abroad, along with a rich Jazz history and Latin American cultures of Washington DC, deeply influence the band's unique sound. Since 2019, Son Horizonte has performed at various live venues across the country, and internationally, establishing themselves as Grammy recording artists and industry award winners. They maintain a strong presence on social media and digital platforms The band is known for its collaborative spirit, working with other group members and featured artists to bring originality to the Salsa and Latin Jazz genre. Their versatile style blends elements of Country, R&B, and Pop, performing both original and cover songs in Spanish and English. Son Horizonte's performances range from vibrant salsa dance music to relaxing Salsa Jazz. In 2021, Leonardo Garcia y Son Horizonte was selected to contribute to the soundtrack of the Netflix series Gentefied, adding their authentic feel and sound to the show. They continue to maintain a busy performance schedule, recording various projects, singles, and albums.
