Biography & Metadata
8008ies is what happens when the year 2001 runs into 2025 in a bathroom stall at 3AM and they decide to form a band. A day glo lipstick love letter to the glory days of trash glam Electroclash, their sound is a perfect paradox: as catchy as it is abrasive. While El Blanco concocts a sonic cocktail of digital distortion, KittiKat fronts the chaos with icy detachment, delivering Nu Wave hooks with a look-but-don't-touch, tongue-in-cheek aesthetic. It is sophisticated enough for the fashion show, dirty enough for the afterparty, and named immaturely enough to remind you that, in the end, it’s all just a game.
