Zoe FitzGerald Carter

Known for her deep honey voice and literary lyrics, award winning Bay Area author turned singer-songwriter, Zoe FitzGerald Carter, brings a unique blend of Americana, jazz, blues, folk and rock. “Zoe sings with personality & self-assurance,” writes John Apice of Americana Highways. "Her tone has authority, experience & character and she conceives poignant, well-distinguished tales with finesse.” The title track of Zoe’s latest album, Before the Machine, won first place in the Corpus Christi Songwriters Contest and the music video premiered on Americana UK and placed in the New Zealand and Vienna film festivals. Another song from the album, “Let’s Just Stay Friends,” was awarded second place from the International Acoustic Music Awards. Her new single, Lying Voices, premieres on Americana Highway Feb 16 and the music video for Lying Voices premiered on Americana UK on February 13. "Carter manages to infuse the song with a resilience and hope, born out of the fact that the lying voices will be countered by those who continue to fight against injustice and whose voices will continue to be heard," writes music journalist Andrew Foolish. "Carter possesses a beautifully clear, pure voice that traces a path through a fine melody, reinforced by Vicki Randle’s backing vocals." Lying Voices will be included on Zoe's upcoming album, Chaos By Design, due in September of 2026. You can find Zoe on her website: https://zoecartermusic.com and on instagram.
