Meet H_art the Band, a highly acclaimed fusion trio hailing from Nairobi, Kenya. Comprised of Mordecai 'Dex' Mwini, Wachira 'Skoko' Gatama, and Kenneth 'Chief' Muya, this group formed in 2013, quickly gained popularity across the region. Their breakthrough came with the release of 'Uliza Kiatu' (Swahili meaning 'Ask My Shoe’) in 2014, earning them nominations at the All-Africa Music Awards. H_art the Band's music seamlessly blends, Afro-rooted sounds, soulful vocals, poetic lyrics, and technical skill all seasoned with a dash of humour. Their collaborations with Grammy-winning and celebrated artists such as Sauti Sol, Khaligraph Jones, Bensoul, Kenyan Queen Victoria Kimani, Nigerian Songstress Seyi Shay, Dancehall Queen Cindy Sanyu from Uganda amongst others have garnered them millions of streams. Having released five albums to date: Shoekran (2019), Made in the Streets (2019), Simple Man (2021), Party time (2022) & Time (2023) this trio's unique style and musical talent are revolutionizing the industry.
