Tre Houston

Originally hailing from Houston, TX, Tre Houston (Rowland W. Folensbee III) is an award-winning Nashville-based Hip Hop artist, writer, and producer. He has been writing and producing music for two decades while performing in venues across the country and securing song placements in over 100 different television shows and films. Some of Houston’s television and film credits include songs featured in Empire, Bookie, Snowfall, Glee, All American, P-Valley, Red Rocket, Ingrid Goes West, NBC and CBS sports programming, live performances in both seasons of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s HitRECord on TV, commercials for Suave and Michelob Ultra, and even The Lonely Island's "How to Tie Your Shoes" special segment on Sesame Street. He also co-wrote two separate walk-up songs for MLB All-Star Mookie Betts in 2021 and 2023. Houston was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition for 2013, 2015, and 2018, was a part of the creative team that won an Emmy in 2014 for their work on HitRECord on TV, and contributed music to Lewis Capaldi's Grammy-nominated documentary How I'm Feeling Now. Houston currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee where he continues to work on numerous musical projects. He released the Mine EP in 2018, followed by the Let It Rain album in 2020, and the You Cannot Stop Me album in 2023. Most recently, he has been working with renowned producers Dave Tough, Justin Busch, and Tyler Norris on a number of new EPs and Albums for 2025.
