Biography & Metadata
Close To Me was inspired by the state of housing in WA and the despair that came from being priced out of both a home as well as love - exploring what it's like to flick through property online or whatever you want to buy, while having a million other things going on in your head -- none of which you can fully focus on (but you're trying to piece it all together). Streetlights have emerged as an exciting five piece indie-rock band from the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. Made up of brothers John and Pearse Topliss, cousins Ethan Gosatti and Tony Menegola and Brad Watson on bass, they have cemented themselves as a key player in Western Australia’s indie scene. Streetlights have produced a diverse range of music but are most recognisable for their indie-pop earworms. Releases vary from their indie-pop anthem “Murray Street” and extend to expressive Pop Punk through their debut EP “Bad Actors”.
