Acoped

Acoped. Something that hasn’t been coped with. Or just an anglicism play on my name. Or whatever. The alter ego of myself and those I create music with. A Swedish indie alternative rock and pop artist. Project consisting of permanent members vocalist Andreas Kuoppa and instrumentalist and producer Filip Garpensvärd. Although the project has been ongoing since the early 2010s, the debut album Call the Clinic released in 2021. The sophomore album, The Falling Sensation, released in 2025. Both of these albums consist of old material — many times performed in the early years — as well as newly written material. Inspirations are mainly American and British rock music. As for the USA, the biggest inspirations are iconic giants such as Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Strokes. We also got a lot of production inspiration following the careers of superstar Billie Eilish and her producer brother FINNEAS. As for British inspirations, The Killers, Muse, Oasis, Gorillaz, and of course The Beatles, just to name a few. And of course, being from Sweden, we can’t forget to mention ABBA and Roxette. Being active since the early 2010s, we of course also have a soft spot for the Indie scene, both local and abroad, and are keen on supporting it as best we can. Independent music is real music.
