Jonno Sweetman

Jonno Sweetman crosses the boundaries of genre and intention with an uncanny grace to bring us his debut EP called OTHERSIDE. Known as a sensitive and versatile jazz drummer, Sweetman’s respect and love for what is essential in music is abundantly clear in this poignant collection of songs, each as beautifully crafted as a fine instrument. At the core of his quintet of personal reflections is a vulnerability that emanates a masculine warmth. He is currently a member of Kyle Shepherd trio, Carlo Mombelli group , Skyjack , Reza Khota Quartet , Albert Frost trio and Mabuta. He has also performed and recorded with Lionel Loueke , Jorge Rossy, Karen Zoid , Dan Patlansky and Guy Buttery.
