Skeematic

Skeem’s music reflects the vastness of his experiences. Born in the Philippines and raised across Africa, he absorbed the diverse rhythms and cultures of Mauritania, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. He studied film in Canada, where his love for storytelling deepened alongside hip-hop. Now based in the Philippines, his beats blend soulful, obscure samples with punchy drums and atmospheric layers, capturing the rawness of hip-hop with a cinematic touch. Skeem’s production is rooted in deep sampling, using NI Maschine, Ableton Live, and the Roland SP-404SX in his repertoire. His releases include instrumental projects on Germany's Conjunct Recordings/S!X-Music like Sex, Pizza & Zombie Music, Vol. 1. His self-released album Sound Therapy provides an introspective soundscape, combining earthy tones with dynamic, head-nodding rhythms. Skeem also produced the EP Leo Rising alongside Filipina rapper Peaceful Gemini released through Sony Philippines. The project blends soulful vocals and intellectual raps over a tapestry of cosmic and profound beats. It garnered nominations for the 2023 Awit Awards. Apart from dropping Griselda remixes on socials all 2025, he also released singles for his group Palmtrees - Driving to Nowhere and a solo blues-rap joint Downhearted. He also produced the critically acclaimed track NEW NEW for Gold Chain Music affiliate YaH-Ra. For daily updates, follow @skeemxbeats on Instagram. www.skeemxbeats.com
