PA PUN BAND

Pop-Punk with No Brakes—Just Heart, Hooks, and Chaos. Papun Band is a pop-punk trio from Taiwan known for turning everyday chaos into catchy, emotionally honest anthems. Their name— “Papun” —is a playful twist on “pop punk,” and that same tongue-in-cheek spirit drives their sound: raw, relatable, and full of heart. Since forming in 2007, the band has earned a loyal following for songs that capture the highs and lows of youth—awkward crushes, late-night doubts, and the ride-or-die power of friendship. With four full-length albums and one EP, Papun Band has become a streaming force in Taiwan’s indie scene. Their breakout track “Fish” has over 15 million YouTube views, while hits like “I’m Useless, Can’t Give You the Life You Want” and “Moon Next to Moonlight” continue to rack up millions of plays. In 2024, they were named in StreetVoice’s Top 20 Songs of the Year, and their Spotify streams have passed 40 million. Live, they bring it all—laughter, sweat, tears, and catharsis. Their recent headlining shows at Taipei and Kaohsiung Pop Music Centers and Hong Kong’s Ocean Park each drew crowds close to 10,000. With Dabao’s warm charisma, Shiny’s vulnerable brightness, and PAPUN BAND PAPUN BAND Laowai’s explosive edge, Papun Band transforms personal stories into universal moments. Punk at heart, pop by nature—they make music that moves.
