Alainite

Alainite is an independent artist from Cape Town, South Africa, creating emotionally driven alternative hip-hop, emo rap and alt-pop. Rooted in a lifelong obsession with melody, his music blends introspective songwriting, hip-hop and R&B with the punk and emo influences that shaped his musical roots. Before Alainite, he came up through Cape Town's underground punk, hardcore and metal scene, performing in bands including Two Weeks Old, Sleeping at the Popes, Enmity and Peasant, later exploring pop songwriting and electronic production with Veladraco. Now, those years of varied musical influences converge in Alainite: melodic, vulnerable music exploring life, love, connection and the complicated emotional spaces in between.
