Biography & Metadata

Sunglasses Kid is a British producer, composer and electronic musician specialising in retro cinematic music, pop, synthwave and nostalgic instrumentals inspired by the 80s and 90s. In 2023, he blew up with his "P.O.V: It's the 80s" series which earned him millions of plays and Likes on TikTok and Instagram, where his music has been used by The Oscars, FIFA, Rugby Union, Rugby World Cup, Liverpool FC, and hundreds more brands, influencers and creators. As a synth and drum programmer and arranger, his signature sound has been heard on Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F and Cobra Kai. In 2024, Sunglasses Kid released his fourth studio album “Internal Affairs” which went to number 1 in the US iTunes Electronic Album Charts and number 3 in the UK in its first week, with creators like Julian Sewel helping the single ‘Badge and gun’ go viral.​​ Sunglasses Kid's debut EP, Unpredictable (2013) and albums, Graduation (2015) Sophomore (2020) and Nightlife (2022) - earned him a cult following as one the original producers defining the early sounds of synthwave and retrowave. As a composer, Sunglasses Kid has written music for brands including Vogue, Tens Sunglasses, and Friday The 13th the game.
