Zorsy

Sydney born pianist Julian Sanchez has had a wide range of musical influences from an early age. Having musically led The Consouls for a few years, Zorsy's original sound blends the oft-opposed energies of jazz, classical, RnB and progressive rock, Zorsy takes inspiration from such diverse sources as Funky Knuckles, Anomaly and jazz trumpeter Roy Hargrove. The result is a quirky fusion that maintains a groove despite its odd chords and time signatures. Having recently shared the stage with Estelle after performing on the Steven Universe track True Kinda Love, Zorsy looks to push his original instrumental compositions further to unite Video Games and Jazz together. Having toured Japan, Indonesia, and Australia, Zorsy looks to share his music further with his niche. Amongst his travels he's had the privilege to record music alongside Dimas Pradipta, Barry Likumahuwa, insaneintherainmusic, David Pomeranz and many more. The combined efforts of a host of musicians and producers from across Asia and Australia have resulted in a debut record First Blush in late 2018. The tunes will cater to those with a taste for the complexities of jazz fusion, the energy of progressive rock, and the drama of video game music. That, and a desire to “get down”.
