Biography & Metadata

Braxius is a primarily acoustic project. Their songs are inspired by the rugged, beautiful and monumental Nordic landscapes. The story of Braxius started in 2002 when Attila (Braxius) and a childhood friend formed the metal band Skeletonworms. Their songs were influenced by their favourites but after a few recorded demo songs the band iced themselves and started to work on their own musical ideas. The turning point came in 2004, when Attila visited Norway and Scandivaian for the first time. After that he returned year after year to these beautiful and wild places and he hiked a lot and turned his experiences into songs. From these songs and ideas, he created his debut album, É(v)szak (Észak=North, Évszak=Season), which was released at the end of 2020. The beautiful limited edition digipack of 50 CDs (created by Alex Mihályfi-Tóth https://red-art.hu/ https://artistmage.hu/) sold out quickly. The album features Nordic landscapes and seasons in its songs. The nature sounds were also all recorded in North. In 2022 released a single that gives the band's name. This is basically a demo and was made in the early 2000s. It was inspired by Storm's Nordavind album. A new single was released on 26.12.2023 called "Winter". This is an adaptation of the song "Tél" by pianist and composer Gleb Belyaev on the Bösendorfer piano. New songs are currently being written.
